Halo Infinite has been on a wild roller coaster ride since launch. The multiplayer was shadow dropped at a time when the likes of Battlefield 2042 and Call of Duty: Vanguard were faltering. The subsequent campaign mode, with its fresh formula, cemented the game as one of the best of 2021. However, over the past few weeks, it has been losing players on Steam, and its Twitch viewership has fallen significantly as well. 343 Industries will be hoping that the onset of season 2 will lead to an influx of players.
While the co-op and Forge modes have been delayed, a leaked video has given us a glimpse at what the latter will look like. As spotted by GameRant, YouTuber Bradguy123 has uploaded a video that shows what the upcoming mode can do. This isn't the final build of the Forge mode, Bradguy123 managed to access it via the Flight 2 version of the game.

The YouTuber decided to showcase what the mode can do by building their own version of the Gravity Gun from Half-Life 2. The first two-thirds of the video show the player in a sandbox of sorts, using a Sentinel Beam to pick up and launch objects – just like in Valve's classic.
The latter third of the video is when they reveal how this is made possible. The Forge mode includes a detailed scripting system that – if leveraged properly – allows you to manipulate the game's physics in interesting ways. The video goes on to show two detailed scripts, tailored to make the Sentinel Beam imitate the Gravity Gun – one for picking up and dropping objects, and the other for holding them with the levitating effect.
