Sebastian Stan names his favorite Avenger, but instead of picking Captain America like Bucky Barnes would, he says it's Chris Evans. These days, Stan is drumming up buzz for his turn as Motley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee in the Hulu miniseries Pam & Tommy, but he remains best known for playing Bucky Barnes, aka the Winter Soldier, in the MCU. He's appeared in 5 movies so far (7 if one counts post-credits scenes), and last year he stepped into the spotlight with his first leading role in the franchise with the Disney+ series The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.
That 6-episode show saw him suit up alongside Anthony Mackie, but for the most part, Stan's time in the MCU has been defined by Bucky's story with Steve Rogers (Evans). 2011's Captain America: The First Avenger cemented the two as lifelong best friends, and the subsequent movies tracked their deep bond as it endured world-ending conflicts, UN-imposed laws, and Bucky's brainwashing. Though Steve opted to return to the past at the end of Avengers: Endgame, Bucky stayed in the present. Fans are still waiting to hear where he might turn up next.

Nick Offerman questioned whether Groot was a viable answer, and Lily James and Taylor Schilling eventually guessed Ant-Man. However, Stan then admitted that he wrote down Chris Evans, much to Seth Rogan's amusement. "I put Chris Evans," Stan said. "As himself."
