A reliable Capcom insider has suggested that Resident Evil 9 could have been "internally delayed" from its original plan of being revealed this year and released in 2025.
2024 has already been a big year for Capcom with the release of Dragon's Dogma 2 but, despite Resident Evil 4's remake having just released a year ago, there are a lot of us hoping to see it get even bigger with Resident Evil 9. Although the next game in the series hasn't even been confirmed yet, it's been rumoured for some time and seems to be on the distant horizon.

It seems that plan might have been pushed back a bit, though, as AestheticGamer1 has been hearing rumours about Resident Evil 9 being hit with an internal delay "for one reason or another".
Although that might seem like a reason to panic, Dusk Golem pointed out that Resident Evil games get delayed fairly often. They also suggest that another Resident Evil game may be announced and released before Resident Evil 9, but that they're not entirely confident in that being the case. Looks like the rumoured Resident Evil 5 remake might not be as far off as we think.
