The PC requirements for the Resident Evil 4 remake are now available to check out on the game’s Steam page. Thankfully, it doesn’t seem like you’ll need to have a high-end PC to enjoy the game. Both the minimum and recommended requirements are pretty relaxed. However, the game is sure to look gorgeous on those higher settings just like Resident Evil 2 and 3.
Capcom’s previous remakes of classic Resident Evil titles were similarly relaxed with their PC requirements. But both games also had high-end graphics options that could take full advantage of powerful hardware. Now, since Resident Evil 4 remake is also headed to next-gen consoles, the worry was that its PC requirements would be much higher. That’s not really the case.
To start things off, let’s go over the minimum PC requirements for Resident Evil 4 remake. These requirements assume that you’re aiming to play the game at 1080p and 45 fps and are prioritizing performance.
Again, these are pretty relaxed requirements. You’ll likely not be able to experience any of Resident Evil 4 remake’s more advanced graphics options. But if your number one goal is simply to play the game, then you don’t need a beefy PC for that. In comparison, the recommended requirements obviously ask for a bit more.
These recommended requirements assume that you’re aiming to play the game at 1080 and 60 fps. And if you wanted to use ray tracing, you’d need an AMD RX 6700 XT or Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070. But these are still pretty easy requirements to meet. Unfortunately, the Steam page doesn’t list a recommended graphics preset to go along with this. We assume this is for a medium preset, but we’ll have to wait and see.
