Registration for the Game of Thrones: Kingsroad Regional Closed Beta Is Now Live

Netmarble is kicking off the regional closed beta test for their upcoming title Game of Thrones: Kingsroad soon. They also dropped a new trailer showing off gameplay and teasing the game’s mechanics.

It starts next week, from January 16th to January 22nd, 2025. Players in the U.S., Canada and select parts of Europe can take part in the CBT. You can test out the game on Windows or Android.

The registration for the Game of Thrones: Kingsroad regional closed beta closes on January 12th. So, you need to sign up soon if you want to be a part of the testing team.

The trailer gives a peek at what’s in store. You’ll see intense battles and your favourite GOT characters, including Jon Snow, Jaime Lannister and Drogon. Take a look at it right here!

Set during the show’s fourth season, the game places you in the middle of all the power struggles and betrayals. King Robert Baratheon is dead, the Lannisters are holding onto the Iron Throne for dear life and Stannis Baratheon is gearing up for a full-on assault.

Meanwhile, the North hasn’t quite recovered from the Red Wedding, and the Great Houses are still scheming. In this mess, you step in as the heir to House Tyre, a minor noble house from the North. You start your journey by customizing your character with a robust character creator.

Then you choose one of three classes inspired by the original series: the cunning Assassin, the honourable Knight or the versatile Sellsword. The combat emphasizes human-against-human fights, and the game promises fully manual controls.

GOT: Kingsroad also introduces original characters inspired by Wildlings, Dothraki and the mysterious Faceless Men. With a gritty Westeros vibe, this game will surely remind you of the drama, betrayal and epic scale of the HBO series.
