Way back in 2010, Red Dead Redemption hit video game consoles worldwide. The game was a massive hit for Rockstar and is considered to be one of the finest additions to its library. However, one significant aspect that clicked with gamers was the character of John Marston in Red Dead Redemption, who was voiced by Rob Wiethoff.
InRed Dead Redemption, John Marston is the game's primary protagonist. A former outlaw who tried to go straight, Marston was effectively blackmailed into doing the dirty work of the game's primary antagonist, Edgar Ross, who forces him to hunt down the surviving members of his old gang. The character had fallen out with these members following a heist gone wrong which was detailed in the prequel, Red Dead Redemption 2. Ultimately, Edgar Ross has John Marston killed in what is often considered to be one of the best deaths in gaming.

John Marston's voice actor, Rob Wiethoff, would go on to reprise the role for Red Dead Redemption 2and the first game's DLC, Red Dead Redemption: Undead Nightmare. At the end of the second game, John became the primary player character for the post-story content after the death of Arthur Morgan. Despite having been released nearly twelve years ago, Rob Wiethoff has never played the first game, but this is about to change. In a recent TikTok post, Wiethoff revealed that he would be streaming the first game for the first time.
