In order to move faster in Disney Dreamlight Valley, players will need to eat meals in-game. This does not include things like just picking an apple and eating it. Players will need to take some of the ingredients they have gathered and make one of the many meals that exist in the game. A fish sandwich would be a good example of this. By eating a meal, players will gain a buff in the lower right-hand corner of the screen called Well-Fed.
This buff increases movement speed while also filling the Energy Bar beyond the normal capacity. In order to get the buff, players will need to make sure that the meal is eaten when their Energy Bar is close to full. Doing so will allow the Energy Bar to be filled beyond the normal maximum, and players will see a yellow Energy Bar when they are Well-Fed. This method allows more energy gained from food to go into the yellow Bar as opposed to the default blue one.
