There's a lot to do in Red Dead Online, whether gamers are playing alone or with a posse of friends. However, in an open world game like Red Dead Online, there's also plenty of players who come up with their own games and activities to participate in.
As far as fan-planned activities go, this is likely one of the stranger ones to grace the old west game. A group of players teamed up to perform a trust fall of sorts, but with extremely dangerous consequences for failure.
Red Dead Online Player Exacts Revenge on Griefers That Killed Their Horse
Red Dead Online player eXaR_N7 shared a brief video of the event with fellow players on the Red Dead Redemption subreddit. In it, a large group of players can be seen standing in two rows on top of one of the game's railway overpasses. The players in farther back row are all preparing their lassos, while the group in front gets ready to jump. Plummeting to the water below will mean certain death, but the idea is to catch the player with the lasso and save them.
The results of the video are quite funny, as several of the players are missed by the lassos entirely, while others are caught but end up falling to their doom anyway. This includes eXaR_N7, who is successfully lassoed by the player behind them, but after dangling for a moment, the lasso breaks loose and they fall to the river below, dying on impact.
This isn't a common activity in the game, but players have been forced to come up with their own ideas on keeping the game fresh since Red Dead Online has lost major update support from Rockstar Games.
