Roger Clark, the beloved actor who portrayed Arthur Morgan in Red Dead Redemption 2, has joined fans in mourning the death of Red Dead Online. Rockstar Games' multiplayer Wild West experience launched in 2019, but a lack of regular updates turned many players away from the title over the last few years. It was recently announced that no more Red Dead Online updates are planned, leading to widespread mourning for the game's sudden death.
Similar Grand Theft Auto Online before it, Red Dead Online lets players explore a massive Rockstar Games world while collaborating or competing with other players. The American frontier is just as vast and detailed as it is in Red Dead Redemption 2, with players engaging in various activities like hunting, robbing and bounty hunting. Unfortunately, since the launch of Red Dead Online substantial updates have been few and far between. This led to the slow decline of the multiplayer title's playerbase, and Rockstar recently confirmed that development will be refocused away from Red Dead Online and towards Grand Theft Auto 6. Players subsequently began to mourn Red Dead Online with in-game funerals, and a key figure has now expressed sympathies to the community.
