It's been a sad couple of weeks for Red Dead Redemption fans. Not only did Rockstar announce that Red Dead Online will no longer receive any more "major themed content updates", but according to insiders, Red Dead Redemption 2's planned current-gen remaster has also been cancelled. Unfortunately, RDO never did blow up in the same way that GTA Online did, but there it had a small, dedicated community that liked riding around in its world.
While this community no longer has any new content to look forward to, there are still ways to freshen things up in RDR2 – via mods. As discovered by PCGamesN, the Life of Crime 2.0 mod adds a fresh spin to your character, and also introduces some new activities to partake in, which – if the mod's name wasn't clear enough – are of the unsavoury nature.

Firstly, the mod has added a character creator, which means you can take on a slew of single-player missions as an original character, and not Arthur or John. The mod essentially has its own little story, where you're a convict who has broken out of Sisika Penitentiary and is trying to make their life as an outlaw. Some skilled cutscene editing by the creator, CruelMasterMC, has resulted in a few instances where you'll also come across the Van der Linde Gang.
As of now, you can partake in a dedicated intro sequence, a new heist, train robberies, and other minor activities. However, CruelMasterMC plans to add more jobs like bounty hunting. Life of Crime also encapsulates its very own skill tree and leveling system.
