Before the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the Iron Man franchise was hardly a top draw for Marvel. However, the MCU propelled Iron Man to becoming one of the Marvel's most popular heroes of all time. There have been some attempts to capitalize on Iron Man's relatively newfound popularity through video games, with the most recent being Marvel's Avengers and the Iron Man VR game, but there hasn't been a true, big budget, triple-A Iron Man-focused game made to date.
One such project was in the works at Avalanche Studios. According to the reports, the Just Cause developer was making an Iron Man game, but it seems Disney and Marvel ultimately decided to pull the plug on the project. Rumor has it that a fresh attempt at an Iron Man video game is in development at EA, though that has yet to be announced in any official capacity.

While Iron Man fans wait to learn more about the potential EA-published game, they can check out a recently-released fan-made concept video that shows what an open world take on the project would be like if it were built using Unreal Engine 5. The video was uploaded by YouTube channel TeaserPlay, which releases all kinds of Unreal Engine 5 concept videos for various hypothetical video game projects.
The trailer is about 2 minutes long, and it shows Iron Man exploring a variety of environments, including a valley, a mountain, a city, and a desert. Viewers are able to see Iron Man's flying capabilities in action, and they also get a glimpse at the hero's Mk. 1 armor. Based on the trailer, it seems to mostly be taking inspiration from the first Iron Man movie, which saw similar elements at play.
