It’s been five long years since we excitedly reported EA was working on a new Skate game, and now we can confirm it will launch on PS5 and PS4 next year – albeit in Early Access. While this may seem unusual for a AAA title, the skateboarding sim’s entire development cycle has been unorthodox, with developer Full Circle consulting players through various closed beta tests since the project was announced.
This open, collaborative approach lends itself to Early Access, then, where players can provide feedback on the experience as it matures. It also means we’ll have the opportunity to get our hands on the game as soon as possible, which is great news.
More information on the release will be announced in the coming months, but it’s worth remembering that console play testing is scheduled to get underway later this year.
Remember, when this game does eventually release to the public, it’s going to be free-to-play. It sounds like an ambitious project; perhaps not the one single player stalwarts have been asking for, but we can understand the desire to transform Skate into a kind of online social sandbox. Honestly, we think it’s going to be popular.

Well i think i'll just stick to being a «single player stalwart» and keep playing the 360 version.
Looking CLEAN so far
