The first extended gameplay of Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown has been shown off at Ubisoft Forward.
The game sees players exploring a “semi-open world,” acquiring powers that enable them to revisit past areas and discover their secrets, and features “time powers” that are essential for traversal.
Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown was the opening game reveal at last week’s Summer Game Fest showcase.

The Lost Crown will be released on January 18 for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Switch and PC.
“Dash into a stylish and thrilling action-adventure platformer set in a mythological Persian world where the boundaries of time and space are yours to manipulate,” said Ubisoft. “Play as Sargon and evolve from sword-wielding prodigy to extraordinary legend as you master acrobatic combat and unlock new Time Powers and unique super abilities.”
In a new tweet, Ubisoft has described the game as “an action-adventure platformer game set in a mythological Persian world.”
Its promotional blurb for the game reads: “In this brand-new adventure, players will embody Sargon, a young, gifted warrior, and member of an elite group called The Immortals. As they are sent to rescue Prince Ghassan, they will explore Mount Qaf, a once wondrous place, now cursed and hostile.
