This week, Tettles gives his predictions for Season 3 of Mythic+ and the Encrypted Affix, detailing what he thinks the best specs will be based on the current PTR!
The MetaWith the new seasonal affix, Encrypted, being available on the PTR in conjunction with Double Legendaries and Tier Sets being around for testing, there seems to be a lot of interesting stuff going on in M+. With that being the case, there seems like there may be a shake-up in the class meta for dungeons currently (but probably not). Let's take a look at some of the classes and how they may be utilized.
Bugs and Potential ChangesAs with anything on the PTR, things are subject to tuning passes, bug fixes, and other potential changes. Right now there seems to be an incredibly unintended bug with the Decrypted Urh Cypher where players are getting 9x Cooldown Reduction on their Covenant ability instead of the intended 3x. This will likely be resolved and I will not be making any speculation based off this Covenant Cooldown Reduction bug.
TanksThe tank meta is quite an interesting one. A lot of the tanks are very close for M+ and ultimately it is player skill that differentiates a lot of tanks from one another. While most tanks this season seem to be very durable and there are reports that all tanks «feel tankier», there are still a few that are above the rest. Prot Pally Protection Paladin is a spec that saw an increase in popularity come Season 2 of Shadowlands. With Season 3 this will likely continue as the Prot Pally 4 set Glorious Purpose is one of the strongest in the game.
