has finally received an update that indicates fans will be able to play it sooner than expected. The mobile app was first announced back in 2019 and, since, has had little news revealed about it. The companion app is designed to register player’s sleeping schedule and gamify it, allowing Pokémon to be collected based on sleeping habits.
Revealed through the Presents livestream this Monday (February 27th), has received a release window. While an exact release date has not been provided, the mobile app is expected to arrive during the summer of 2023.
This means players will be able to download and start using it after ’s release date, which is scheduled sometime between mid-June and late September.

As revealed through the Pokémon Presents, is an app that registers the player’s sleeping style when the phone is left charging near their bed. First, the sleep is measured, then recorded, and lastly analyzed. This will classify their sleeping style into one of three categories: dozing, snoozing, or slumbering. Depending on which category players receive, different Pokémon will appear sleeping in the mobile app’s virtual island around the central Snorlax. To accompany the gamification of the player’s sleep, there will be a new professor, called Neroli, who researches Pokémon’s sleeping patterns.
Asides from getting points in , the actual purpose of the app is still something of a mystery. According to the game’s presentation, it is said to help players wake up in the morning, but the exact method of doing that is not known.
