Pokemon tends to leave about six months between Squishmallow releases and right on time, its next pair of popular plushes is now available to pre-order. Long-rumored and eventually revealed, it's been known for a while now that the next two Pokemon getting the Squishmallow treatment would be Dragonite and Marill. All we knew regarding a potential release date was the summer, but now the Squishmallows are available and you can pre-order them through the Pokemon Center.
The two Squishmallows available for pre-order are the 12-inch versions that come complete with the Pokemon Center patch sewn onto them, serving as proof that you got them right from the source. Not only are the 12-inch versions Pokemon Center exclusives, but these will be the only ones that come with that patch. The other sizes that will eventually become available through other retailers will not have that patch sewn on, although they will still be official Pokemon Squishmallows.
The Squishmallows are $29.99 each, the standard price for 12-inch Squishmallows bought through the Pokemon Center, and as is often the case, they might be tricky to get a hold of. Half of Pokemon's Squishmallow collection remains out of stock at the Pokemon Center, and a note on the new Dragonite and Marill pages may indicate those Squishmallows will never be restocked. Each of them has a note making it clear that the product will not be restocked.
Joining Pokemon's Squishmallow collection in 2024, Dragonite likely got the nod to become a part of the still very exclusive range as a part of Pokemon's extensive celebrations to mark the year of the dragon.
