Pokémon Go Drops The Details On Its Next Event Scorching Steps

Trainers, I know you must be pretty busy gearing up for the Slumbering Sands event (which drops tomorrow), but we have news for what’s next already. Pokémon GO has shared the nitty-gritty pf their next event, the Scorching Steps.

The Pokémon Go Scorching Steps event starts on Friday, June 21st (10:00 a.m.) and runs till Tuesday, June 25th, 2024 (8:00 p.m.). There are some sizzling action lined up for you as you’ll get a healthy dose of bonuses and fun. So grab your Incubators and get ready to hatch some Eggs!

During the event, you’ll get double Candy from hatching Eggs. The distance needed to hatch Eggs is cut in half when you place them into Incubators. For the first three Eggs, you hatch using the Pokémon GO Egg hatching widget. And the distance is slashed to a quarter of the usual.

There will be increased chances to encounter and hatch Shiny Slugma and Shiny Litleo. They’re making a special appearance along with Shiny Larvesta. By the way, it’s a debutant. Larvesta will be hatching from 2 km, 5 km and 10 km Eggs.

Pokémon Go Scorching Steps event-themed Field Research tasks will be available. Apart from Slugma and Litleo, these give you a chance to encounter a Turtonator. And yes, they can be Shiny too! While the event-themed Timed Research will let you snag Stardust, XP and encounters with event-themed Pokémon.
