When Pokemon's Agatha made her debut in the Elite Four, many players struggled to fight her, as her fondness for Ghost-type Pokemon made her quite the threat. However, most would probably feel more spooked by her ghosts and Poison-types than the trainer herself.
Agatha normally takes the appearance of an old woman, roughly around the same age as Professor Oak, her former rival. However, at least one fan artist has imagined Agatha as being a lot spookier than she normally is.
Pokemon Fan Makes Venom Version of Gengar
Artist and Redditor ibralui took to the site to share their imagining of Agatha in the Pokemon series. The image is stunning to look at, and the community seems to be very impressed with the depiction. Agatha looks practically sinister here, flashing a toothless smile at the viewer as she lightly pets the arm of a towering Gengar standing behind her, which looks just as frightening as its trainer. While Agatha has always used a cane, she's more hunched over here, and the shadows cast on both her and Gengar give the entire scene in an ominous, creepy tone.
Another pair of interesting touches include Agatha's sweater, and her hands. The Pokemon Arbok's pattern can be seen on her sweater; a fitting tribute, considering it was one of her Gen 1 Pokemon in the Elite Four. However, some were quick to point out that she appears to have three hands; one touching Gengar, and two others resting on top of her cane. Initially, it was assumed this was an accident, but artist ibralui says it was an intentional choice, making the artwork more unsettling to those who notice it.
