Over the years, the LEGO toy brand has continued to partner with a lot of pop culture franchises and series to widen their reach within the geek community. This explains why the brand has produced many LEGO video games such as LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, the LEGO Harry Potter, and LEGO Marvel series. However, it seems the Pokemon community is looking to have an official collaboration between the two franchises. One such fan even went so far as to recreate the Kanto region's iconic Route 1 using common LEGO bricks and pieces.
Though LEGO has produced a lot of official Nintendo and Super Mario themed LEGO sets, the toy brand does not seem to have made any official sets for the Pokemon franchise. This may be because official brick-based Pokemon toy sets are already being produced by a competitor brand called Mega Construx. However, this does not seem to deter the fans of both communities, as there are often several posts sharing recreations of favorite pocket creatures and Pokemon elements found in online forums.
Pokemon GO Announces August 2022 Community Day Pokemon
Continuing their project of a Pokemon inspired LEGO set, Redditor Buscags1 posted several images of their progress in recreating the Kanto region using LEGO pieces. In the images, the Redditor seems to have already completed Route 1, which players might recall as the first grassy path they need to go through to start their adventure as Pokemon trainers. Route 1 leads to Viridian City, the first town with a Pokemon gym that fans will encounter in Pokemon Red, Blue, and Yellow. Buscas1's images look pretty impressive, given how they connected their version of a LEGO Pallet Town to Route 1 and even mirrored tiny details like the curves of the paths and more.
