Pokemon kicked off its year in Funko Pops by revealing it would be releasing six new pearlescent figures, presumably throughout 2024. Lucario was the first of those figures to be revealed, but Pokemon left it up to our imaginations when it comes to the other five. Rumors suggested that the next shiny Pop! joining Pokemon's ranks would be Pichu, and not only has Pokemon finally confirmed those rumors to be true, but the Pokemon Center exclusive Pop! is available to buy right now.
In typical Pokemon fashion, there was no song and dance surrounding the reveal of Pearlescent Pichu. Just the addition of the figure's store page at the Pokemon Center and then fans and collectors sharing the news after stumbling upon it. In Pokemon's defense, there is currently a banner on the Pokemon Center's homepage advertising Pearlescent Pichu's arrival, so it didn't take long for people to realize the baby Pokemon has joined the shiny Pop! collection.
Pealescent Pichu is a shiny version of the original Pichu Pop! That's right, shiny hunting is a thing in every walk of Pokemon life, even Funko Pop! collecting. You can buy yours now through the link in the box below, and there doesn't appear to be a release date attached. No pre-order now so you can get it by Christmas, just buy it for $14.99 and the Pichu will be on its way to you. The only restriction is you can only buy two, but unless you plan on reselling them for a profit which is not okay, why would you need more than two anyway?
Not every Pokemon gets turned into Funko Pops, and even fewer of those Pops get Pearlescent versions of their figures. Pichu is one of the Pokemon deemed special enough to have a Pearlescent Pop!, exclusively available at the Pokemon Center.
That's two down, four to go on the Pokemon Pearlescent Pop! reveal front, and considering the gap between Lucario and Pichu's reveals, it's going to be a while before we get any concrete information on which Pokemon figure will be getting the shiny treatment
