When it comes to the PlayStation Showcase, fans are eagerly anticipating Sony to announce when the event will be taking place. This will be a major showcase for Sony that would offer more content than what would typically see in a PlayStation State of Play stream. Furthermore, this is around the time we start seeing several media streams take place. For years, June was a month where we would see media conferences from E3, but more individual streams are taking place, with the E3 expo not happening this year.
We know June will have a few different streams to take note of. For instance, we know that in June, we will have the Summer Game Fest, Xbox Showcase with a Starfield deep drive, and Ubisoft Forward. But before June kicks off, we might get a PlayStation Showcase at the very end of this month. This news comes from industry insider Jeff Grubb who noted that they believe the week of May 25, 2023, we’ll get a PlayStation Showcase stream. Now, this is just according to the industry insider, right now.
Sony has made no official word, so we’re still left waiting on just when the official date when Sony will upload their PlayStation Showcase that highlights what’s coming out into the marketplace soon. This could be anything from a variety of new exclusives, updates to past announced games, and of course, new hardware. There were plenty of rumors and speculation that Sony had a couple of new hardware revisions for the PlayStation 5 that have yet to be officially announced.
