Responding to a post on ResetEra, he simply says: «A PlayStation showcase is happening very soon.» How soon is the question on everyone's mind, with speculation suggesting the event will take place either at the end of this month of beginning of June.
It's been widely accepted by PlayStation fanatics that Sony is indeed planning a large-scale PS5, PS4 livestream for the coming weeks off the back of reports from Geff Grubb, but given the reliability of Jason Schreier's reporting, this latest piece of information is practically only second to an official announcement out of Sony itself.
If the PlayStation Showcase is happening next week (to fulfil the end of May claims), then it's likely confirmation will be shared tomorrow. Sony loves its Thursday evening slots for livestreams, and has generally announced its larger events one week prior. If the event is happening in early June, though, then we've still got a few more weeks to wait. Either way, now Jason Schreier has commented on the situation, the possibility of a PlayStation Showcase being just around the corner is now extremely high.
