PlayStation has confirmed that it is indeed holding a showcase at the end of the month. May 24 is the day when PlayStation will take the lid off some of its upcoming titles with a live broadcast starting at 1 PM PDT.
PlayStation didn't provide anything in terms of an itinerary, but there are plenty or rumors of what we could expect from the upcoming showcase. Most recently, games journalist Jeff Grubb suggested we'd see PlayStation show itself on the "week of May 25," while Andy Robinson of VGC suggested Konami will be front and center.

A long-rumored Metal Gear Solid 3 remake could be the first of Konami's next games, with various sources stating Konami will use this remake as a test case for more remakes of its Metal Gear IP. We could also see a new Castlevania game announcement following its success with the Dead Cells crossover, and an update on Konami's multiple Silent Hill projects, including its Silent Hill 2 remake.
Spider-Man 2, the sequel to Insomniac's highly successful Spider-Man, is also likely to make an appearance. Spider-Man 2 is still scheduled to release sometime later this year, so it would make sense for PlayStation to begin releasing more information for one it's most anticipated titles. Spider-Man 2 is a PS5-only title featuring updated graphics compared to the original, with a plot centering on Peter Parker and Miles Morales's conflict with Venom.
