The PS5 celebrates its third birthday this week, and PlayStation is doing a lot to mark the occasion. A slimmer model of the console goes on sale tomorrow, the PlayStation Portal will be available next week, and two new accessories that can be used with both, as well as the regular version of the console, are now available for pre-order. The Pulse Explore Earbuds and the Pulse Elite Headset, both of which were revealed alongside the Portal.
The Pulse Explore earbuds are PlayStation's first crack at earbuds, and because of the tech that has gone into them, they're going to cost you. The earbuds are available at various retailers through the links below for $199.99. That might seem like a lot for earbuds, but a lot has gone into them considering their size. The Pulse Explore Earbuds boast five hours of battery life and an additional ten hours when kept in their case. The only downside is how quickly I'm bound to lose one.
PlayStation has already had a few attempts at headsets with pretty impressive results. The Elite Headset is also quite a bit cheaper than the earbuds, retailing at $149.99. Again available from various retailers through the links below. Boasting the same AI noise rejection tech as the earbuds, the headset has a retractable mic as opposed to the two microphones the earbuds have.
Even though pre-orders for both the earbuds and the headset are now open, neither will be with you right away. The earbuds will be released on December 6, so not long to wait and the perfect holiday gift if you have someone in your life
