After launching earlier this month in other regions, Sony’s revamped PlayStation 5, unofficially dubbed the PS5 Slim, launches on November 29th in the United Kingdom. It’s available to pre-order now, with the Standard Edition costing £479.99 and the Digital Edition retailing for £389.99.
The PS5 Slim boasts much of the same hardware as the older model but with a smaller form factor and weight. The Standard and Digital Edition also have 1 TB solid-state drives, which means more space than the previous model. However, along with a new four-panel design for its outer covers, the Standard Edition now has a detachable Ultra HD Blu-ray disc drive.
The Digital Edition doesn’t, but you can purchase one for £99.99. A new Vertical Stand is also being sold for £24.99, compatible with all models. Once supplies for the older model run out, the PS5 Slim will be the default. Sony also reportedly has a PlayStation 5 Pro in development – head here for more information.
