PlayStation might have recently rolled out a system that fans are now uncovering. We’re not sure if it’s available for everyone quite yet, either. Thanks to a report from The Gamer, we’re uncovering that now, users can leave a review for a video game on PlayStation’s official storefront. Overall, it’s not a very in-depth system at play here. Instead, it’s just a start, and that could mean we’ll see additional tweaks made to ensure that players can leave their thoughts on a game. At the very least, it looks like players can leave a review to contribute towards a game’s rating from players. However, some restrictions are in place to ensure that we don’t find some games getting a flood of false reviews.
If you haven’t noticed, a review system is now in place for PlayStation Store video games. Players can view the new system when they click on view product from the various video games featured on the storefront. From there, you’ll find the rating option, allowing you to leave a review or view the overall breakdown of how players review a video game. Again, there is a notable restriction in place. After all, you don’t want to see some games get a ton of hate from review bombings that don’t leave an accurate review of the gameplay experience.
The means of stopping false reviews is that players will need to own the video game. That means purchasing the title or having it from a PlayStation Plus offering. From there, you can leave a star rating. With five stars, you can leave your impression of the game to encourage players to pick the title up or pass it on. However, it’s only a solid star rating out of five right now. So you can’t leave half a star within your review. Additionally, that’s the only feature for leaving a review
