Nintendo has been showing off Pikmin 4 for a little while now, the latest gameplay trailer popping up during its latest Nintendo Direct. However, that wasn't the only Pikmin-related reveal it had to reveal today, as the company has also announced that HD versions of both Pikmin 1 and Pikmin 2 will be launching digitally later today. Unfortunately, it doesn't appear that Nintendo has plans to release both titles as physcial versions, but at least the entire Pikmin series is now available to play on the one system.
In a later tweet about the titles, Nintendo clarified that both Pikmin 1 and Pikmin 2 will be coming to the Nintendo eShop later today, and can be purchased standalone or as a bundle. The price of the titles is currently unkown as they're not available for purchase at the time of writing, but we'll likely see a small discount for the bundle as opposed to the standalone releases as a bit of incentive to grab both.

For those that have never played a Pikmin game before, this is now the perfect opportunity to experience the series as a whole. Each game focuses on unique puzzles and real-time strategy elements, as you control hordes of plant-like beings known as Pikmin to defeat enemies and overcome obstacles. There are a variety of Pikmin, each type specifically suited for certain tasks, which is where the puzzle element of the game comes into play. They're fun titles and definitely worth checking out if you like your puzzle games.
