A piece of DC art has brought together Robert Pattinson’s Bruce Wayne from The Batman and Tyler Hoechlin’s Clark Kent from Superman & Lois to form a new World’s Finest. Pattinson’s take on Batman is the latest DC Superhero to debut on the big screen as Matt Reeves’ The Batman opened last week to critical acclaim and impressive box office numbers. Pattinson himself was praised for his much more emotionally troubled take on Bruce Wayne with the actor's subtle expressions in the suit conveying the underlying tragedy and rage of the character.
Meanwhile, in the Arrowverse, Hoechlin has taken up the mantle of Superman after being introduced on television via Supergirl. This led to Hoechlin co-leading his own spin-off, Superman & Lois, alongside Elizabeth Tulloch as Lois Lane which focuses on their lives raising two teenage sons. The show has been well received by fans and critics, who see it as a departure from the CW shows it originated from due to higher production values and more focused scripts.

Now, Instagram artist @spdrmnkyxxiii has created a mashup edit that brings Hoechlin’s Superman and Pattinson’s Batman together as the World’s Finest. The image has taken two publicity photos of Pattinson and Hoechlin and effectively compiled them together into a simple but effective poster that features a meld of the Superman and Batman logo at the forefront. There is also an appealing contrast in lighting with Hoechlin being lit with a bright blue light while Pattinson is illuminated in more dim, red lighting to emphasize the contrast between the two characters.
