The Midseason update for Season 3 is now live, featuring new Overwatch League skins, One Punch Man collaboration, Competitive Mystery Heroes, and many hero quality of life improvements. New Overwatch League Home & Away skins and weapon charms are now available in the store. The Home & Away skins now include the new Overwatch 2 heroes, and are updated for the Overwatch 2 models. Many daily & weekly challenges are changed to be easier to complete, and the “Coin Line — Win 5 games in Arcade.” challenge has been replaced with “Change of Pace — Win 5 games in Mystery Heroes, Free-for-All Deathmatch, or any Arcade mode”. Matchmaking improvements are now live, including reduced queue times for large parties, reducing unranked queue times, and increasing competitive match quality. Mystery Heroes is being added to competitive, and the first season begins on March 14th. The Hero changes this patch largely focus on improving quality of life. Here are some of the highlights:
Sombra's Hack will now interrupt Orisa's Ultimate. Ramttra's Ultimate will now refresh bonus armor when activated. Roadhog's hook had the cooldown reduced by 2 seconds, but the cooldown now starts at the end of the animation instead of the start. Wrecking Ball's Minefield now arms .25s slower, and his Grappling Hook now has a timeout indicator. Zarya's Bubble Cooldown has been reduced by 1 second. B.O.B. will now prioritize targets Ashe shoots with her Rifle. Pharah's Jump Jet is now influenced by directional inputs. Sojourn's Torso hitbox has been increased by 20%.
