Oscar Isaac reveals which British comedians were key to crafting one of his varied characters in Moon Knight. The series, which is the first Disney+ live-action MCU show to introduce a brand new lead hero, is premiering on the streaming service in just a few short days, on March 30, 2022. The series, which will be somewhat darker in tone than many other recent Marvel projects, will likely set the stage for what's to come in 2022, including elements of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and Ms. Marvel. Ms. Marvel will be the next series to introduce a new hero, namely the teenager Kamala Khan, who will also be joining Captain Marvel in her next film outing The Marvels.
Moon Knight is providing Isaac with a particular acting challenge, as he will be portraying a character with dissociative identity disorder. The character's primary personalities are that of the shy British museum shop employee Steven Grant and the hardnosed American mercenary Marc Spector, who begins to wreak havoc in his life. His condition is aggravated when he begins to channel the powers of the Egyptian moon god Khonshu, taking on the personality of the nocturnal hero Moon Knight among others.

While speaking with IndieWire, Isaac revealed the unusual inspirations that helped him craft the more mild-mannered side of his character. The most important question that he asked himself when crafting Steven Grant was "What’s an energy that I haven’t seen in the MCU before?" The answer? Peter Sellers.
