Oppo has been hyping up its Find X5 series devices for a long time and it is finally official. The Find X5 Pro is the Oppo's latest flagship offering for 2022, armed with its new Hasselblad-tuned cameras and its custom MariSilicon chip for image processing. There is also a regular Oppo Find X5 that skips some of these extras in favour of a lower price tag. Oppo is yet to talk about its global availability situation, including the Indian market (the Find X3 never reached India).
The Oppo Find X5 Pro is available in one variant only. You get 12GB of RAM and 256GB storage as standard on the Find X5 Pro. It will set you back € 1,300. Oppo lets you choose between the Ceramic White and Glaze Black. The Oppo Find X5 will cost € 1,000 for the single 8GB/256GB option. This one is also available in a black and while colours.
The star feature on the Find X5 Pro is its rear cameras. The phone holds a 50MP main and 50MP ultra-wide camera, both having the same Sony IMX766 sensor with same 1/1.56-inch sensor. Both have OIS, with the ultra-wide camera having 5-axis stabilisation system. A third 13MP telephoto camera with 5X Hybrid Zoom is available as well.
The Marisilicon chip is said to do most of the processing here. It allows for 4K Night video mode, AI noise reduction, and HDR video at 20-bits per channel. The chip makes these features available on both the 50MP cameras. The Pro mode brings the Hasselblad Color Calibration feature for professionals, while the phone uses glass front elements to improve colours. There are a few Hasselblad filters available onboard as well.
The selfie camera uses a Sony IMX709 sensor with RGBW pixel, similar to the one of the Oppo Reno 7 Pro.
