The much-anticipated first Obi-Wan Kenobi trailer is rumored to be releasing next week. Ewan McGregor returns to Star Wars via his very own TV series on Disney+. Originally conceived as a movie, Lucasfilm reworked the project to be a four-episode limited series that's set to release on May 25. As its premiere date nears, however, there has been barely any marketing for the show.
Set 10 years after the events of Star Wars: Episode III — Revenge of the Sith, theObi-Wan Kenobi show will finally reveal what the audience favorite Jedi was up to in between the prequel and original trilogies. The series is directed by Deborah Chow, but specific plot details are still scant at the moment. What has been confirmed is the return of Hayden Christensen as Darth Vader. It's also been announced that the show will see another duel between Obi-Wan and his former Padawan in what Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy called the«rematch of the century.»

Disney has been mum about pretty much anything related to Obi-Wan Kenobi, but with roughly three months to go before it hits the streaming platform, its marketing campaign is expected to begin in earnest soon. This could be kicked off by its first trailer which is now rumored to arrive next week, on March 9, according to Making Star Wars. The outlet cites an anonymous source who showed them images from the actual clip to back up their claim. That being said, the site also shares that they previously heard a rumor that Lucasfilm could be dropping the anticipated trailer on May 10. Regardless, either of these dates suggests that it will roll out sometime next week.
