Being a Vanillaware title, the recently released (and excellent) strategy RPG Unicorn Overlord bears immediate resemblance to the Japanese developer's previous outings, like Muramasa: Rebirth, Dragon's Crown, and 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim. This is because longtime artist and studio co-founder Shigatake insists on depicting food as hyper-realistically as possible and defying the laws of physics when it comes to depicting the female form.
In remarks translated by Automaton (thanks, GamesRadar+), Shigatake responded to a <a href=«https://twitter.com/shigatake/status/1769912340731044007?ref_src=» https:>post
, which posited: «The food just looks so bouncy and delicious. Who made this? I want to praise you; show yourself!» Shigatake claimed credit for the delicious achievement, replying simply: «It was me.»
To be clear, though, Shigatake claimed credit for the bounciness of the buns, not the artwork itself, which was done by another artist named Yamashita, and a friendly rivalry exists between the two. Going one step further, Shigatake revealed he was «unable» to control his «habits» when it came to the game's female characters, so he added some of his signature bounce to their designs, as well as the food. As Automaton puts it, this «resulted in Yunifi’s thick thighs and Scarlet’s impressive bosom».
