Today marks the start of the first season of the year for New World: Aeternum players! Season 7, titled “Season of Conquerors,” begins today and brings with it new content, game updates, and fixes that will make adventures in Aeternum even better. Featuring player-versus-player (PvP)-focused Seasonal Worlds, Expedition upgrades, bug fixes, and more, Season 7 brings exciting new content for adventurers of all playstyles.
Highlights for the Season of Conquerors include:
New to the game are Seasonal Worlds, a brand-new system that reimagines the Aeternum experience through unique game rules, items, and abilities each season. The Seasonal World theme for Season of Conquerors is PvP, and players can flag for PvP starting at Level 15. There will be new resources and gear with powerful perks to discover, but beware… these items will drop upon death. At the end of the season, Seasonal Worlds will close and players can transfer their characters to a permanent world of their choosing.
Players can get a sneak peek at the brand-new Outpost Rush map “Coral Divide” during a special preview weekend event. In this map, a central trench divides the battlefield and serves as housing for NPCs. Players can build bridges to create new pathways and open strategic opportunities for their teams.
Endgame player-versus-environment (PvE) content gets significant changes to improve dungeon runs through these new upgrades, including Unified Mutations, Activity Finder Integration, and upgraded rewards.
Players can enhance their arsenals with several new artifacts with unique abilities, including Void Gauntlet: Fracture, Life Staff: Heceta, Bow: Aconite, and more. These new abilities will provide a fresh take on how players can deal damage, heal allies, and provide buffs and debuffs on the battlefield.
