New World: Aeternum will get an open beta for all platforms in September, letting PC players into the fold along with Xbox and PlayStation 5 ownersto prepare for the October relaunch.
The open beta will run from September 13th at 9:00 a.m. PT through September 16th at 9:00 a.m. PT in North America, South America, Europe, and APAC. The test will be cross-platform and feature cross-play, meaning that this is the first time that PC players can play the New World: Aeternum build alongside console friends. There are no keys or anything necessary this time, so you can just log in on September 11th to preload the game on any supported platform.

During the beta, you can progress up to level 30, and the team highlights some of the content that you can expect up to level 30 and beyond. Customize your character and get started, pick an archetype, and play solo or co-op. Start exploring trade skills like fishing, crafting, and cooking and dabble in the economy. At level 17, you can choose from one of three factions, Covenant, Marauders, or Syndicate, which will open up additional challenges and rewards.
If you’re a PvP-er, 3v3 arenas unlock at level 20. Influence Races let you compete with others in open world PVP to strike down enemy factions and capture towers. Also unlocking at level 20 – the ability to use mounts, which you'll be able to customize and use to get around faster. At level 25, you reach the recommended level for the Amrine Excavation Expedition.
Playing in open beta gets you some rewards that will carry over to the final game when New World: Aeternum (re)launches on October 15th, but only on the same platform that you earn them on in open beta. Rewards include
