In case you hadn't heard, the next Sword Art Online game has a multiplayer co-op focus, as you and a bunch of other players tackle quests and giant monsters together. Sword Art Online Fractured Daydream is out for PS5 on the 4th October, but a couple of weeks before it drops, you'll be able to take the title for a spin thanks to a newly announced open network test.
The test will run from the 21st September until the 23rd September, giving you a few days to check out what Kirito and the gang have been up to.
«The Open Network Test will let players explore the virtual world and engage in epic 20-player raids against unique and vicious enemies such as The Skull Reaper and Sword Golem, all while stepping into the roles of their favourite Sword Art Online characters,» reads the press release.
Nine of the game's playable heroes will be available during the test, covering a bunch of different party-based roles. Oh, and if you do end up buying the full thing after trying the network session, you'll be able to carry over any equipment that you unlock.
Beta testing opens in March
