With the new season, comes new goodies and new Blessings in Diablo 4. Blessings are unlocked by spending Smoldering Ash which is acquired through the free tiers of the Battle Pass for Seasonal Characters. The Smoldering Ash is gained through completing various challenges to advance the Battle Pass. With Season of Blood, some new changes have been made to how Blessings and Smoldering Ashes work.

Smoldering Ashes are distributed throughout the free tiers of the Battle Pass at various increments. In season 2, this has been adjusted to allow players to gain the ashes at earlier levels.
