Set photos from Marvel's Secret Invasion TV series reveal a new race of MCU aliens — and apparently, these creatures have found their way to Earth. In 2012, the Chitauri invasion of Earth in The Avengers changed the MCU's version of the world completely. It wasn't just that human beings suddenly learned there were superheroes — although, in truth, that was a big part of it. It was also that suddenly humanity knew aliens were real — and some of them were hostile.
Since 2012, Earth has become a planet of galactic importance. It was on Earth that Thanos snapped his fingers, erasing half the life in the universe, releasing an energy wave that every civilization would have been able to detect. Another similar phenomenon will have been observed five years later, when the Hulk used a new Infinity Gauntlet to reverse Thanos' actions, bringing all those who had been lost back. Given Earth's newfound significance, it's unsurprising that alien races appear increasingly interested in this sphere. Spider-Man: Far From Home revealed there are Kree sleeper cells, while the upcoming Secret Invasion is expected to feature a Skrull invasion. But it seems they aren't the only aliens to have come to Earth.

New set photos released by the_insta_phils on Instagram reveal the aftermath of a battle in London, with the body of a mysterious alien creature on the ground. It's unlike anything seen in the MCU before, vaguely resembling an octopus, and it's clearly large enough to pose a threat to a human being. The alien isn't a direct match for any creature in the comics, which makes figuring out its role particularly difficult. Check out the photo below:
