Channing Tatum reveals new setting and story details for Magic Mike's Last Dance.The actor has a long history of dance movies dating back to his breakthrough performance in 2006's Step Up. Today, Tatum is best known for his titular role in 2012's Magic Mike and its 2015 sequel, Magic Mike XXL. The film series, which is semi-biographical due to Tatum's own past as a stripper in Florida, is largely credited for turning Tatum into a Hollywood star and cultivating his sex symbol persona he is known for today.
When Magic Mike XXL hit theaters, many thought the series would end with the second film. Afterwards, the Magic Mike brand continued through other mediums such as a touring cabaret show which launched the next year, followed by Finding Magic Mike, a dance competition show on HBO Max. Warner Bros. shocked fans late last year when they announced Magic Mike 3 movie was in the works and set for HBO Max. Original director Steven Soderbergh and writer Reid Carolin are also on board for Magic Mike's Last Dance, purportedly the last film in the series that will feature Tatum's character.

In a new interview with The New York Times alongside hisLost City c0-stars Sandra Bullock and Daniel Radcliffe, Tatum took some time to tease the Magic Mike threequel, revealing some interesting tidbits in the process. Other than describing it as "pretty bonkers" and the stripper movie to end all stripper movies, Tatum revealed that Magic Mike's Last Dance will be set in London and described it as a "fish-out-of-water" and "reverse-role Pretty Woman story."
