Cinemas around the world continue to be open and working amidst the coronavirus pandemic, while studios seize the opportunity to release the many movies that had to be delayed – but that doesn’t mean streaming platforms have lost any force. In Netflix’s case, it continues to add new licensed and original content every week, including movies that skipped a theatrical release, so its subscribers have a variety of titles to choose from.
Last weekend, Netflix welcomed the animated movie Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, the action crime thriller Blackhat, and the anime movies One Piece: Episode of Alabasta – The Desert Princess and the Pirates and One Piece: Episode of Chopper Plus: Bloom in the Winter, Miracle Cherry Blossom, along with season 2 of Young Wallander, season 2 of the comedy Space Force, and the horror movie Texas Chainsaw Massacre. This weekend, when it comes to licensed content, the streaming giant will only see the arrival of Rob Zombie’s Halloween, so all eyes will be on the original content, which is aimed at different audiences.
