Netflix has released its end-of-year report about the state of its games division, which included not only stats about the games it released in 2023, but also a preview of new titles coming in 2024. According to the report, Netflix launched 40 games on its platform in 2023, including two internally developed titles — Oxenfree II: Lost Signals and Netflix Stories: Love is Blind.
The company also revealed some more info about the games that are coming in 2024 — specifically, it revealed a few new titles that have joined the upcoming slate. These games are AI-enhanced fashion sim FashionVerse, which allows players to dress up photo-realistic models and establish their own fashion brand; a new version Game Dev Tycoon with the Netflix-exclusive feature of being able to develop games based on favorite movies and shows; and Sonic Mania Plus exclusively on mobile.
The final game on the slate is Cozy Grove: Camp Spirit, a sequel to Cozy Grove made by Spry Fox, which Netflix acquired last year. Camp Spirit features new ghost stories, new activities and new companions. Netflix doesn’t specify whether Camp Spirit will be exclusive to its platform. All of the games mentioned above release sometime in 2024, and they’ll join other titles such as Hades, Braid, Katana Zero and Monument Valley 1 & 2.
According to Netflix, it plans to continue adding games to its platform with the goal towards having something for everyone to play.
