Karen Gillan thinks Nebula's backstory would make for a cool Disney+ show after Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. Marvel Studios received a new path to expanding the Marvel Cinematic Universe in Phase 4 with the launch of Disney's streaming service in 2019. Disney+ has so far been used to elevate supporting characters like Scarlet Witch or Falcon and introduce major new heroes, such as Moon Knight. There are many upcoming MCU Disney+ shows that meet these criteria and explore different corners of the massive franchise. However, Marvel has not yet really tapped into the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise for spinoff shows.
The future of all the Guardians of the Galaxy members is currently unknown as audiences wait for James Gunn's highly-anticipated Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. The sequel reunites the original cast one last time, as Gunn has repeatedly said the movie is the end of this iteration of the team, which includes Star-Lord, Gamora, Drax, Rocket, Groot, Mantis, and Nebula. Audiences will see most of these characters again before the threequel in Thor: Love and Thunder and The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special. It is not known what the Guardians of the Galaxy members' futures look like, but Disney+ spinoffs are quite possible.

One potential option for a Guardians of the Galaxy Disney+ spinoff could follow Gillan's Nebula.
