Mantis actor Pom Klementieff celebrates wrapping filming on Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 with a new behind-the-scenes image. Klementieff first joined the MCU as Mantis in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 in 2017, and since then, she has reprised the character in Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame. Klementieff will also be returning as Mantis in three upcoming MCU projects: Thor: Love and Thunder, The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special on Disney+, and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 will star Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldaña, Dave Bautista, Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper, Karen Gillan, Sean Gunn, and Sylvester Stallone in their previous MCU roles, and it will introduce Will Poulter as Adam Warlock. James Gunn is also returning for the third Guardians of the Galaxy installment despite Disney briefly removing him from the project due to resurfaced controversial tweets. Gunn shared that Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 would be the conclusion to the current iteration of the Guardians and their story in the MCU but would set up the franchise for the future. Filming on Vol. 3 began in November 2021 with the cast also working on the Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special at the same time.
