Rob Zombie confirms Catherine Schell has wrapped filming on his reboot of The Munsters with a new behind-the-scenes image. Schell plays Zoya Krupp in Zombie's movie and is just one of many new characters being introduced to the franchise. Several new characters have been revealed since production began, including Dr. Henry Augustus Wolfgang (Richard Blake), Floop (Jorge Garcia), Barbara Carr (Cassandra «Elvira» Peterson), and Igor (Sylvester McCoy). Zombie's frequent collaborators Jeff Daniel Phillips, Sheri Moon Zombie, and Daniel Roebuck are playing Herman, Lily, and Grandpa in the reboot.
Schell was very active in the '70s and '80s, appearing in projects like On Her Majesty's Secret Service, Doctor Who, and The Return of the Pink Panther, but she officially retired from acting in 1996. It's unknown how Zombie convinced her to come out of retirement for The Munsters, yet Zoya Krupp will be a monumental role for Schell as this is her first acting gig in nearly 30 years. Zombie revealed the first look at Zoya Krupp when he announced her casting in early 2022. Other than this, very little is known about Schell's character.
