Iman Vellani, who will play the titular hero in the upcoming Ms. Marvel show, compares her experience filming for the series to filming for her role in Captain Marvel 2/The Marvels. Ms. Marvel will feature the debut of Vellani’s young Captain Marvel fanatic Kamala Khan as she becomes a superhero. Following the events of Ms. Marvel, Kamala will make the jump from Marvel television to a Marvel film when she joins Brie Larson as Captain Marvel and Teyonah Parris as Monica Rambeau in the Captain Marvel sequel The Marvels.

However, Monica’s role in WandaVision confirmed that there is some hostility between her and Captain Marvel. When the two characters last interacted on-screen during Captain Marvel, the two were still close friends, so finding out what strained their relationship will likely be a key part of The Marvels.
