The Twisted Metal video game franchise, with a slew of titles released since the 90s, has held a special place in many fans' hearts despite not seeing a new game release since 2012. Seeing narrative potential in the Mad Max-esque action franchise, NBCUniversal's Peacock streaming service has greenlit a Twisted Metal streaming series and has actively worked to cast an impressive array of actors. Now, two more actors will be joining the derby: Scream's Neve Campbell and Spider-Man: No Way Home's Thomas Haden Church.
Peacock's Twisted Metal series marks the latest attempt to develop a live-action Twisted Metal project following a proposed Twisted Metal movie by Sony Pictures and Crank director Brian Taylor that ultimately never saw the light of day. This series is getting considerably farther through development, however. The series has found a director in The Eric Andre Show showrunner Kitao Sakurai, a writer in Cobra Kai's Michael Jonathan Smith, and writing credits from Deadpool's Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, with Avengers: Endgame actor Anthony Mackie and Encanto actress Stephanie Beatriz attached to star in the series.

Now, Neve Campbell and Thomas Haden Church have joined what is quickly becoming an exciting ensemble of actors. For Scream actress Neve Campbell, this will be her first appearance in a series since HBO Max's The Lincoln Lawyer series, which was recently released on its platform.
