Jenna Ortega reveals that the upcoming Scream 6 will feature the most aggressive and violent version of Ghostface yet. Earlier this year, marking more than 25 years since the release of the original Scream, audiences were reunited with the horrifying Ghostface killer, who returned to torment the residents of Woodsboro once again. As the fifth installment in the franchise, Scream enjoyed enormous success in theatres despite the ongoing impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic. The much-anticipated Scream 6 was confirmed shortly after.
After bringing back the three legacy stars of 1996's Scream, Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox, and David Arquette, the sequel also welcomed some fresh blood to the beloved horror franchise, including Melissa Barrera, Mason Gooding, Jasmin Savoy Brown, and Ortega. As Ghostface's latest prey, the four characters survived the film's runtime and are now set to reprise their roles in Scream 6. Ortega and Barrera's characters took the lead in Scream, as sisters Tara and Sam Carpenter, with the latter having a familial link to another of the franchise's original characters, Billy Loomis.
