Ghostface's body count is on the rise, as Henry Czerny joins the cast of Scream 6 as a potential new victim (or killer). After January's «requel» Screambecame a major success, Scream 6 was quickly greenlit by Paramount Studios with directors Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett remaining at the helm. Hype around the new sequel has been hotter than ever with filming already commencing in New York City and several major casting announcements emerging over the last several weeks. These announcements include the returns of much of Scream's core ensemble and fan favorite Hayden Panettiere, plus the arrival of newcomers Dermot Mulroney, Liana Liberato and Jack Champion, among others. Longtime franchise lead Neve Campbell, however, will not be back as Sidney Prescott.
The exciting casting news continues as Deadline has reported that Czerny is set to join the rapidly growing ensemble of Scream 6. Perhaps most interestingly, Czerny previously starred in Bettinelli-Olpin and Gillett's 2019 horror-comedy hit Ready or Not. No official information has been released as to who Czerny might play, but the cast is filling up with actors spanning younger and older generations.

Perhaps Gale Weathers has found a new love interest after the untimely demise of Dewey in this year's Scream, or Czerny could perhaps play someone with ties to the newer characters. The possibilities for Czerny's role in the film are endless. Star Jenna Ortega has already warned fans that Ghostface will be more violent than ever before in this installment. Therefore, perhaps don't be surprised if Czerny ends up as one of the unlucky victims in Scream 6.
