Warning: This post contains spoilers for Ms. Marvel episode 2.
Ms. Marvel episode 2 raises at least seven questions about cosmic hero Kamala Khan and the MCU as a whole. The episode balances teenage problems with cosmic mystery and has a healthy dose of twitterpation, humor, and dark family secrets. Introducing audiences to Kamran (Rish Shah) for the first time, Ms. Marvel episode 2 ending finds Kamala (Iman Vellani) being saved by him and his mysterious mother, Namja (Nimra Bucha).
Riding the high of receiving superpowers, Kamala is full of a confidence not yet seen in her at school. She corrects a teacher on the pronunciation of her name, has a run-in with the cute and mysterious Kamran, and is visibly frustrated that Zoe (Laurel Marsden) has quadrupled her online following in the wake of being saved by «Night Light» (the terrible moniker Zoe creates on the spot for Kamala's new unknown identity). Kamala and Bruno (Matt Lintz) experiment with her powers (complete with a reference to Black Widow's sacrifice in Avengers: Endgame), convinces Nakia (Yasmeen Fletcher) to run for the mosque council, and gets the chance to spend some alone time with Kamran, with whom she happens to have a lot in common. The episode comes to a close with Kamala sloppily saving a young boy from her neighborhood, having a vision of a mysterious woman, and getting attacked by the Department of Damage Control.
