Ms. Marvel creator G. Willow Wilson reacts to the first trailer of the upcoming MCU adaptation while also highlighting a fun Easter egg. Following the conclusion of the Infinity Saga, the MCU has been busy setting up a lot of new elements in its ongoing Phase 4. After dealing with Thanos and the Infinity Stones, the MCU is currently exploring the Multiverse, with films like Spider-Man: No Way Home and the upcoming Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Since Disney+ was launched, it has served as another platform for extensive MCU adventures as Marvel Studios have been putting out original series following new and old heroes.
One of the next heroes who will be making the jump from panel to screen is Kamala Khan, a.k.a. Ms. Marvel, with Iman Vellani as the titular heroine. Created in August 2013, Kamala is one of the most prominent Muslim superheroes as her role in the Marvel universe has only gotten bigger over the years. While Ms. Marvel has been present in multiple animated projects, Vellani will be the first actress to ever portray her in live-action. Not only will Kamala headline her own Disney+ series, but Vellani will make the jump into the MCU films as she's set to star in The Marvels, with Brie Larson's Carol Danvers and Teyonah Parris' Monica Rambeau.
